„SPLASH”
Work made within the international sculpture symposium of Buzău, „Memory of Water”, 1st edition, 1st – 31st July 2022. The project proposed by the artist Ionuț Marin – Splash – highlights the capacity of water to create memory. The author states that „interesting is the fact that water is a matter without form that can nevertheless shape forms through its endless flow (movement). The continuous intervention of water on a hard material, say a stone, leaves traces over time. The work captures this continuum of undulating, organic forms that refer to the waves and drops that break upon contact with the stone. Little by little, the water makes way for you, moving forward, leaving its mark in time and space.” Ionuț Marin is a visual artist, born in 1985 in Buzău, graduated from the National University of Art of Bucharest, Faculty of Decorative Arts and Design, Metal specialization. Since 2008 he has participated in national and international exhibitions of sculpture, decorative art and design.
