BUZĂU PREFECTURE (WHITE HOUSE)
Buzău Prefecture was built in the period 1968-1970, as the seat of the County Committee of the Romanian Communist Party - P.C.R. In 1976, the County Committee of the P.C.R. was moved to the Municipal Palace. In this building, over time, functioned: Buzău City Hall, the County Committee of the Communist Youth Union, the County Committee of Trade Unions or the County Culture Center.
Currently, apart from the Prefect's Institution, the building houses 7 other decentralized public institutions: the Cadastre and Real Estate Advertising Office, the County Directorate for Culture, the Territorial Service of the National Agency for Protected Natural Areas, the Territorial Structure for Special Problems of the National Reserves of State Administration -Buzău, the National Broadcasting Council, the Association of Municipalities - Buzău branch, the Territorial Office of the National Council for Combating Discrimination.
