„Buzău – 1650” Historical Outdoor

„BUZĂU - 1650” HISTORICAL OUTDOOR EXHIBITION In 2022, 1650 years were celebrated since the first known documentary attestation of Buzău area, with the date of 12th April 372, when the martyrdom of Sabbas the Goth (334 – 372) took place by drowning in the waters of the river Mousaios (Buzău), as recorded in the letter of Junius Soranus, governor of Scythia Minor (Dobrogea) to Saint Basil the Great from Caesarea Cappadocia, written in 374. This historical outdoor exhibition is intended to be a sign of gratitude to our forefathers, for the diligence, courage and sacrifice of generations of people from Buzău and a symbol of our hope for a more harmonious and prosperous community of Buzău that respects its past and thinks optimistically about the future. „Buzău – 1650” Historical Exhibition, is located on Calea Eroilor in the city of Buzău, it includes 144 panels (632 linear meters) with photos printed on aluminum foil, each 3 meters long and 2.4 meters wide, made in the context of the Centenary of the Great Union. Each panel has explanations in Romanian and English. The initiator was Buzău City Hall, Mayor Constantin Toma, producer Zarr Advertising Buzău, and the documentation belongs to Dr. Marius-Adrian Nicoară, associate member of the Romanian Academy of Scientists.
