„COMPOSITION”
The sculptor Vladimir Predescu was born in 1928 in Albești, Buzău and graduated in 1957 from „Nicolae Grigorescu” Institute of Fine Arts of Bucharest. Between 1957 and 1990 he was a university professor at the same institute, sculpture section. Since 1962 he has been a member of the Union of Fine Artists of Romania. Between 1957 and 2008 he participated in annual and biennial fine art exhibitions in Romania and abroad with works of sculpture in marble, stone, wood and bronze. He took part in the Sculpture camp of Măgura, Buzău county, 1979 edition, with the work „Homage to friendship”. He has exhibited several monumental works in Bucharest, Brasov, Blaj, Montesson (France – bronze bust of Traian Vuia), works in private collections in Romania, Greece, United Arab Emirates, Denmark, Sweden, Switzerland, USA. Vladimir Predescu has received numerous awards for his artistic achievements, including the Romanian Academy Prize for Monumental Sculpture in 1987. The work „Composition” was made in stone in 1975.
