PROFESSOR PAMFIL GEORGIAN’ HOUSE
Pamfil Georgian (1897 – 1979), teacher and publicist, was born in Gura Teghii, Buzau county, as the second child of the parish priest Constantin Georgian. He finished high school in Buzău and attended the Faculty of Geography in Bucharest. He began his teaching career in Buzău, at Alexandru Hâjdeu High School, which he led as director in the 1926-1927 school year. He continued as a university professor at the Faculty of Geography of the University of Bucharest. He is the author of a textbook on the History of the Romanians and the Geography of Romania, for the preparation of the baccalaureate, published in Bucharest in 1928. After retirement, he returned to Gura Teghii, where he had a close connection with the school in the commune, which today bears his name. He founded a village museum that also bears his name today. He wrote a valuable monograph of the Gura Teghii commune
