Priest Gabriel Cocora’s House

PRIEST GABRIEL COCORA’S HOUSE Gabriel Cocora was born on 1st March 1917, in Gura Teghii, Buzău. He attended Theological Seminary of Buzău (1938) and Faculty of Theology of Bucharest (1942). He was a clerk at the Archdiocese of Bucharest, a priest at Poiana Cristii/Vrancea, Buzău Diocese and Sfinții Îngeri Church. He was economic advisor and administrative vicar at Buzău Diocese, librarian and museographist. In 1965, he organized the museum collection of the Diocese. The scholar-priest Gabriel Cocora was a member of the Society of Philological Sciences, the Society of Historical Sciences, the Bibliophile Society, he collaborated on numerous specialized publications, with articles on theology and local history. His works, well documented and rigorously prepared, are genuine sources of information, which researchers can rely on with justified confidence. He died in 1992.
