„BUZĂU – CITY OPEN BY HISTORY” HISTORICAL EXHIBITION
The ancient occupation at the Carpathian Bend, which later evolved as a settlement, market, town and municipality, is documented on 30th January 1431, Buzău benefiting from the trade privilege given to the merchants of Brașov by ruler Dan II, so that on 31st January 2021, the municipality of Buzău celebrated 590 years since its first known definite documentary attestation. On 16th August 12020, the Saint Sava Cathedral was consecrated and the following were inaugurated: „The Park of Brâncoveni Martyrs, Constantin Voivod with his sons, Constantin, Ştefan, Radu, Matei and counselor Ianache,” together with Unirii Centru passage and the Permanent historical exhibition (often also called the Historical Gallery) „Buzau – a city open by history” in the presence of His Eminence Ciprian, the archbishop of Buzău and Vrancea and the mayor Constantin Toma. The Historical Gallery „Buzău – a city open by history”, is located in the Central Passage in the city of Buzău, it includes 24 panels with photos printed on aluminum foil, each with a length of 3 meters and a width of 2.4 meters, made in the context of the Centenary of the Great Union. Each panel has explanations in Romanian and English. The initiator was Buzău City Hall, Mayor Constantin Toma, producer Zarr Advertising Buzău, and the documentation belongs to Dr. Marius-Adrian Nicoară, associate member of the Romanian Academy of Scientists.
